simon
pasieka
German painter. He lives and works in Paris.

Since the 1990s, his pictorial and drawn works have depicted ritualistic situations on the margins of a disenchanted civilization. Born on June 30, 1967, in Kleve, he is the second child of an art and religion teacher and a painter. He spent his childhood first in Cologne, then at the Rudolf Steiner boarding school. At the HBK Braunschweig, he obtained in 1995 both the title of Meisterschüler and a diploma with distinction. He has received several grants and awards, including a DAAD fellowship in 1998 for the ENSBA Paris.

Since the beginning of his career, Simon Pasieka has been associated with figurative painting. He has exhibited in institutions and galleries mainly in Germany (Galerie Klaus Gerrit Friese, Galerie Anita Beckers, Arp Museum Rolandseck, Kunsthalle Göppingen); in Austria (Taxispalais Innsbruck); in Greece (Frissiras Museum); in Japan (Kasuya Museum, Yokosuka); and in France (Galerie Romero Paprocki, Centre Pompidou, MOCO Montpellier, Galerie Eric Mircher).
