Born in 1988, Sarah Valente is a visual artist.
Her work is inseparable from her deep love for nature, particularly forests, which serve as an inexhaustible source of emotions, an example of scientific perfection, and material for legends and enchantments. In its infinitely large and microscopic dimensions, the cosmos shapes the polymorphic creations of Sarah Valente. Her journey to the Amazon marked a foundational moment, during which she captured the magic of this primordial forest, akin to the origin of the world.
With Amazonia (2019), the resulting series, she pushes the photographic medium into an even more sensitive dimension by incorporating waxes, watercolors, and pigments. This process offers a second layer of interpretation to the image, amplified with a spiritual and mystical dimension.

Through her scientific readings and encounters, Sarah Valente documents the secret language of certain terrestrial and aquatic creatures capable of perceiving the world through a different prism: fluorescence. In her immersive installations, the artist transports us, humans, into the perception of another visual reality: that of certain animals and insects, such as bees, hummingbirds, and other fauna endowed with this unique and dreamlike vision. A truth invisible to the human eye is revealed in her work through ultraviolet light.

Jungles, birds, trees, the canopy, spring, and their thriving ecosystems: every subject in nature becomes a pretext for new stories. These take shape in her exhibitions through painting, drawing, sculpture, and installation. With a constant focus on wonder and sensation, Sarah Valente builds her ode through storytelling, enriched by legends with roots shared across all primary and ancient civilizations.
Driven by this infinite love for the living world, the artist sought to take her passion into education. In 2022, Sarah Valente founded the Greenline Foundation for forest preservation, aiming to harness the power of art to advocate for their emotional significance and crucial role in environmental issues.

A year later, she completed the construction of Casa Franca, the first raw-earth dwelling in Paris, which houses the Greenline headquarters and her studio. Both an exhibition space and a place for collaboration, Casa Franca serves as a home and an artist residency, dedicated to leveraging the symbolic power of artistic expression in service of this vital cause.
