Born in 1984, Lou Ros lives and works in Paris, France.
Lou Ros depicts landscapes, in large and medium formats, as well as animals, mostly seen in a very narrow manner. From these favorite themes, which reveal a use of hybrid painting (combination of acrylic, spray and pastel), it is however a whole part of our present, whose contours are not always easy to grasp, that he materializes.
Although the landscapes in which Lou Ros is interested seem to exclude any human presence or construction, this memorial purpose persists. Without any contradiction, he grants painting the right to bring into existence that which is not immediately visible - and thus to freeze the sensation of a singular relationship to space and time.
Dismissing any naturalistic projection, the artist grants in this line the sign of a personal vision which positions painting in a contemplative, sensory and yet critical dimension.
